Solace

I just want to be alone
And untroubled by my thoughts.
The daylight screams of longing
And the nightmares never stop.
I'm always running,
Reaching out,
Searching for your hand.
But there you are,
Looking down on me,
You couldn't give a damn.

I guess, that now I've got my wish
And I am all alone,
Afraid to live the days ahead
Afraid to go back home.
But I still long for it,
And one day I will return
But for now I can't.
I have to be alone.
